Hi guys!
I've got a ranger in which I've swapped in an explorer rear disk braked axle. I've been driving it for a year now without a parking brake, because the drivers side rear brake cable is too short, it won't reach the bracket. Does anybody know if there are different cable lengths for the 2 and 4 door models, or if different years have different lengths? Could somebody measure their cable for me? Maybe I've got the wrong one? Thanks!
With the winter here, I'd really like to get the parking brake working so I can let it sit and warm up while I'm inside. Right now, it's gotta be in gear or it's gonna role.

My parking brake cable on the drivers side measures 31 inches, and it's too short. That's the housing only, the cable inside it measures 42 inches. Does anybody have one of a different length?
