The red "Brake" symbol is lighting up in the dash when I am just regularly braking now. Any clues or suggestions what might be the problem?

Thanks,

check your brake fluid. Make sure you aren't low!

Drew

Yeah, generally that is signal for low/no fluid. Have you noticed an increased amount of brake pedal travel?

I checked the Brake fluid level and it is fine. Could it just a short or a fuse making it come on?

I had a sticking switch myself, I spayed well with silicon dry lube and no more problems, it's located down on the e-brake pedal assy.

Is that ebrake pedal assembly easily located from the inside of the car? Im not sure where you are really talking about?

G

Yes where you put your foot to set the brake. The switch is a make-up type switch when the arm pushed the button in it breaks the connection. When the button is out, (when the pedal is depressed) the switch is made-up. Should be a yellowish cloudy clear nylon material...............

set the brake or the parking brake. you are still confusing me, how you write...

Yes sir the parking /emergency brake..........I didn't mean to be hard to understand, I never gave any thought to being able to set regular brake. Anyway there is a switch located under the E-brake pedal, that is likely sticking

sticking or dirty....good advice from pear
