I'm a new member so I'm not sure how this works. I have an electrical problem. If I turn my lights on, when I try to turn them off the parking lights stay on. I have to take the battery cable off to reset it. If I slam the door or hood, the parking lights go on and won't turn off. Sometimes the factory installed alarm will go off and I don't even have the remote anymore. I think it's haunted. Has anybody had this problem before? It's a 2002 Explorer.

Might be a broken/damaged wire(s) in the boot between the driver's door and the body. This is common for our Ex's. I had a bunch of "demons" and after repairing a broken wire all is well again. Could also be related to the door ajar switch.

Here is a great thread for removing the door panel and checking/replacing the door ajar switch, thanks to borland for the awesome write-up: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249253

Hope this helps out.

I saw on a different website that somebody else had this problem and he removed the #5 fuse (warning flashers). I did this and it stopped all ghosts. I will see if it is the flasher relay now. Thanks.
