an idea

how about this you bring the truck down here to FL. and i will watch it for the year and a half till your boy picks it up.i will try to moveit now and again, i will even give you a sweet deal on storage!!!!!!

You may want to invest into a car cover. Also, consider getting some Sta-bil and putting that in the engine. This will stabilize the fuel when being stored and is good preventative maintenance.

Get a battery charger that has a trickle feature....that will keep the battery form dying permanatley.....

And when you run it let it warm up fully, don't just start it, move it, and shut it off.

Call your insurance agent and see if they offer any plans.

I have three cars - one for my wife, I have the other two

I pull my Ford off the road during the summer when I use my Olds touring sedan. The truck is for the winter snow. When I purchased my olds, I was going to drop the truck off the policy. Instead, my insurance co - Erie - PA, offered a special plan for my situation. On my two cars, I receive a 30% discount on each car if I promise not to drive eachcar for any three months each year - my choice and does not have to be successive months..

as it turned out, policy thresholds not with standing - I have max coverage, with no comp on one vehicle (older), I pay less than if I only had two vehicles.

If it's not on blacktop or concrete make sure it's sitting under some heavy plastic. If you don't the moisture from the ground will rust your frame and everything else on the underside.

ok thank's guy's!! the cover will have to wait..it's snowing alot here so we will have to get it in the garage to warm up and get all the nsow off of it first..anything else i should know??

How long of a drive is it from Anchorage to Venice any way ? About a month ?

oh yeah that's gonna happen...lol

well, i tried Mapquest.com but no luck. I have a new idea you can do a cross country trip, stopping by a few other serious explorations members in every state, and do a meet and greet thing.:chug:

no the truck is gonna saty where i can see it..+ the kid is practicaly part of it now..lol

just wondering, how does a 14 year old get a 96 limited before he can drive?

my exact thought.
:)

Why don't you store it in the garage and keep the ones you drive everyday out in the cold. Not too many people store cars outside and keep their daily driver in the garage.

Must be damn lucky!!

He has cool parents !!!!!!!!!

Damn, that would be fun.
Driving around the country meeting every body from here.
Well the ones in the continental US at least.

I have been here for over a year and a half and have yet to meet any one from here !!

He could have inherited it...damn....I wish I inherited an X when I was 14 LOL:D

he payed in full for the truck..no help from mom or dad...it was a deal that we had to take now...or not be able to get it at all...im not going to let my truck sit out in the cold and have his truck that's not getting used sit in a warm garage..that seem's odd to me..we will pull it in this weekend and thaw it out then park it and then pull the battery and put a cover on it then in a week or so when it warm's up put the batt back in it and start it.. and leave the batt in it..right now the temp is about -5 so it is sucking the battery down just sitting..thank's for the tip's...btw he has done some mod's..i think he has the "mod bug"..lol

BTW he has his driver's permit..so he can drive(but with a licn driver over 21) he want's to be able to drive it so i will be lookin to insureance..so it may not sit that whole time
