96 Explorer XLT
have a 96 Explorer XLT, 4.0, 4WD, cannot for the life of me find the MAP sensor. Have the new one in the box, know what im looking for, just cant find the little bugger.

i think its on the intake plumbing between the airfilter and throttle body somewhere
 






MAP or MAF?
 






If it's the maf sensor
Should be the first thing you see on the air tube after the air filter box
 






If it's the MAF, and you are doing this for the first time, then take a deep breath.

Theis is the easiest thing to do.

It's by the air filter. Un-plug the plug near the filter. Using a screwdriver, take off the MAF and replace it.
