I need the front mounting bracket and bolt for the Rear Differential asap. PART # w714602s439

The dealerhip will only sell them in packs of 4 and they are $44 each. There is no reason to buy 4.

I will get a picture up soon of this bracket. But basically its the bracket with a huge bolt in it that connects to the frame where the Drive Shaft enters the Differential.

Thanks for any Help!

Call around to the junkyard/salvage yards in your area. I'm sure you can track one down for cheap.

I'm worried all the junkyard ones will be rusted out like mine has.

Not necessarily. Even if you get one with a little surface rust just take a wire brush or grinder to it and clean it off. Then hit it with a few coats of rustoleum and you'll be fine.

It's worth it to call around and ask...

The closest one is 75 miles away. Been calling around but nobody seems to have an explorer newer than 2000

If you're talking about the same bracket I'm thinking of, that's some pretty beefy steel. If you can get one from a junkyard, especially out of a vehicle that's been there for a while, it should be fine. The elements do a lot less damage than salt does, and surface rust is easily cleaned. And have you checked on dealer websites, like Tousley Ford or FordPartsGiant? They usually have a very good selection.

Its looks big and bulky in the picture but its about the size of the palm of my hand and fairly light weight. They call it a Bolt Spring.

From fordparts.com you have to buy 4 of them at one time totaling $176 I only need one.

I asked the dealership if I was to bring them the truck to be fixed how they charge for it. He said that they charge you for all four even though they only replace one. What a scam!

To save $$$ I would find you the right size nut to put up top and hold it with a wrench. If you have an impact gun you could put a lock washer on the top with the nut, finger tighten it and gun it down.

Ok thanks for the quick answers I found one online for $27.50. Cost me $26 to ship 2 day but I was expecting to spend $44 plus tax anyways. For reference I found it on OE Parts Mega Store.
