My AC is stuck on defrost. Found out what the problem is. The plastic arm that attaches the metal rod thingy of the servo motor to the flap the redirects airflow is broken. I've attached a picture.

Can anyone tell me what this is called and what the part number is? Looks like a pretty simple fix that doesn't require going to shop, please correct me if I'm wrong.

The part is only available at Ford and was $200 last I checked.
Have to pull the dash to fix it. Unless enough of the diverter arm is left to rig.
But you may want to replace the vacuum actuator as well.
Ford tech said it was the actuators that go bad and end up breaking the plastic diverter.
Though the actuator should still move in and out.

I think enough is left to jerryrig it. So if I replace the servo and rig it to the plastic arm I'll be all set ? Is there any sort of calibration or alignment that has to be done after replacing the servo?
