Replaced my original PCM with a re-flashed PCM. When the PCM was powered-up, PATS code P1260 (theft detected, engine disabled) was reported. I realized then that the re-flashed PCM needed additional key programming (Type C PATS), so then decided to re-install the original PCM.
Now, the same P1260 error re-appears when the ignition key is ON. After trying to erase the code with my Actron scanner, powering-down the PCM again, pulling related fuses, etc. the error will not clear. It appears that when the PATS transceiver reads the key code (key has not been changed) and sends the data to the PCM to compare with the stored key code, the result is still an error.
Any suggestions as to how to clear this error?
