i would love to see some pics of a lcd screen in the upper console of a 95+. I am thinking of doing the same and could use the ideas

Hey guys - some cool looking installs... Couple ?s...

Anybody try integrating any of the trip computer controls (95+ EB and Ltd models) into their PC? How about any engine gauges? Thought it would be cool to have an entire MP3/Nav/Trip/Diagnostic console all nestled right into the 95+ high series console. Saw BigTig's - any hope for a 6" screen fitting in there??

ive never checked out one of those lcd screens. do they use the same port on the computer that a regular monitor uses?

if you want to use a TFT LCD, then you will need to get a video card that has tv-out and a RCA video cable.

i just ordered a new LCD for my X. 7" widescreen. I got a sweet deal for $140 shipped, and its brand new. Last one he had at that price. Normally they run $200 shipped. Good deal!! That is the kind that connects through the tv out using an RCA type wire? Where are you gonna mount that screen? I have a POS computer laying around with WIN98 on it and 2.2 gig of free space with a network card but no sound card. Dont they make sound cards with tv out on them? I'm pretty sure they do so maybe ill do that and then get that screen and I'll be all set up. Only thing I still have to figure out is how to get it to play on my speakers. How do those FM modulators work? I have a JVC Elkamelion right now with no inputs. What are my options?
