I scored the Auterra software off of eBay for my Handspring PDA. I like it. Came in VERY handy when I swapped out my black faced guages and white needles with white-faced guages and red needles from a 2002 Sport. Having a source to give me readings on RPM and km/h was sure handy when it came time to put the needles on.
The software may not be as feature packed as the more expensive offerings, but I didn't feel I'd benefit from spending so much. I don't have a laptop, but I really liked using the PDA anyhow. I was able to hold up the PDA in front of me while driving, something that wouldn't be possible with a laptop.
The seller does sell direct from his website, but it's cheaper on eBay:
I think his reserve is $140 on the non-CAN version and $190 for the CAN. I went for the CAN version, because even though I don't need it for my '00 Sport, I might need it down the road when OBD2 is no longer standard on new vehicles.
