I know its been asked b4, but how do you get to the pcv valve on a 5.0? I cant even feel it. It is rear/center, under plenum, right?Short of removing the plenum, is there an easier way?

I've never been able to find it. It's between the intake and the firewall just about dead center and I simply can't get to it. Let me know what you find out.

It is right behind the upper intake manifold. If you reach behind you will feel a vacuum hose, and at the end of this hose will be the PCV valve surrounded by a foam like grommet.

This is what the hose looks like. At the end of it will be the PCV valve.

Arrow indicating where the PCV valve should be. It is difficult to see behind the intake so you will have to reach back there and feel for the hose. Pull it up/out at the end where the grommet is at and this will expose the PCV valve.

I hope this helps. I'm not really good at explaining things.:)

thanks

Thats where I thought it was, now I need to get my big hands back there, w/o getting them stuck. Thanks for the info.

pcv now changed

Thanks Tas98, after removing a few layers of skin, it wasnt all that bad. And WillyTD, use the diagrams Tas98 sent. I unbolted the electrical connector from firewall, pushed it out of the way, and went in just to the left (pass side) of the upper intake bolt that you see. With a light, you can see the foam grommet. I have big hands but still did it, (now i have big bloody hands)

Thanks guys. I'm trying to find it now but I may have to wait till tomorrow (too dark out).

OK, got it. That is a ***** to get to. The damn thing wasn't connected to the engine, just to the tubing. I think I may have fixed the stuttering on take off that I get sometimes.

Thanks!:)
