People that have done a 2" BL on a Gen 2. Spare tire question!!

Welp I know that the OEM hole for the little spare tire spinner dosn't line up anymore. Can I just drill a hole as low as I can without drilling into the bumper and get a spare back in there?

If any of you have done this please post pics on where you drilled the hole so I can get an idea.

I'm getting sick of throwing my spare into the back when I go wheelin.

When I have seen it drilled into the bumper...it is hidden behind the licence plate!!

of course yours is a 98...so there is no licence plate there .....

Raise the crank

there are 3 bolts that hold the crank mechanism to the frame, get 3 bolts 2" longer and some 2" spacers and just raise it all up. works like a charm and no drilling

btw. can you fit a 265/75/16 tire in there? Its not to much bigger than the 255/70/16's that were on my truck stock.
