I am back!!!
I missed the vendor rules, but Rick was kind enough to work something out with us.
A group purchase is a go for me. I can do 10 or more chips at $205 each plus shipping. That price is for our performance calibration, any custom settings, and instructions. I would need at least a week or two to get that many different calibrations ready to go. Maybe if the group-buy post was left up for a few weeks, by the time the buy was closed I could have everything ready to ship.
I reviewed the rules and it looks as if I cannot organize a group purchase, but someone else can by contacting me
I don't know if the original thread still exists somewhere, but if you guys want me to repost all the original information I put up, I saved it on my other computer.
Since it looks like there is definatly enough interest to do this, it would be great if I can get some catch codes from those interested. I am going out of town this weekend and I can bring my laptop and spend some time reviewing those codes and seeing what calibrations I have ready to go. If someone has a catch code from a pre-95 explorer, I would love to see those too. I want to provide you guys with better information on how much a chip can have over the shift points and firmness of the early generations of a4ld. That is a non-issue with 4r44E, 4r55E, 5R55E and 4R70W's.
Other than that, I'll be glad to answer any questions. I e-mailed someone in our area tonight, and if he is up for it we will take his explorer to the dyno and he can get before and after data to post.
Also wanted to mention that if you buy the chip now, we can always make changes later as you add modifications. Most bolt-ons won't require any changes, but if they do, we do reburns for only $40.
Take care everyone,
Brian
