I found some so called performance ships on Ebay for as little as $5.00.

here are links to a few of them

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GAS-...arms=39:1|65:2|240:1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PERF...arms=39:1|65:2|240:1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2in1...arms=39:1|65:2|240:1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

This one is a chip/module http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-9...arms=39:1|65:2|240:1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

This one says 100 hp, and 30mpg boost http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PERF...arms=39:1|65:2|240:1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

This one boast 150hp, and 50 mpg http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/REAL...arms=39:1|65:2|240:1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

This seems like a stretch to me!!

Do these things really work??

Is there any chance they will do damage??

I figure for the price it might be worth it but not if it totally fries the vehicle.

Any one here use one or have an idea how and if they work???

Thanks

Rob

Caveat: you get what you pay for; except in this case, you get a 1/4 watt carbon resistor available at any Radio Shack store, 5 for $1.19, but you are now paying $5.00 or more, plus shipping on a snake-oil fix. The resistor fools the MAF into thinking the air is cold so you get a little denser fuel charge. no HP gains and no improvement in fuel economy.
