performance chips

I was wondering if anyone is using any of the performance chips in their explorer and if it has helped as far as mpg and power. I pull a 16' boat behind mine and the mpg is terrible (around 10mpg) Thanks Triton2

A lot of us use the sct x-cal 3, or one of the higher end x-cal models. And www.hensonperformance.com is the place to get it. James (owner) is a member/vendor here and has tuned a lot of the explorers/mountaineers here on this site. I can honestly say I've never heard one complaint about him, and he's always gone above and beyond when I've needed help with something.

Any chips available for a 02 explorer to improve gas mileage & horsepower?

Yep, you can use the same tuner I posted above, they will write custom tunes for your explorer and any mods that you have done to it.
