I was looking through my performance products catalog today and on page 48 there is a sweet airdam. It was designed by them and it replaces the OE airdam. It has openings for the stock fogs and has 2 Hella H3 driving lights in it right under the license plate. For the Airdam and the lights the total is $358 plus shipping ($249 for the airdam and $109 for the lights). I would put a link to it but I can't find a picture of it on their website. If anyone has this or knows anyone who has it, give me some feed back. do you think its worth $358? are those good lights? Thanks.

yeah, its pretty sweet looking, but its too much money for what it is. there is a member (or 2) from here that has it; i dont remember who though  i think it might be "frshpowder2k" (i dont even know if i spelled his name right.)

yeah it is definately a lot of money... but i really want to get some sort of aux lighting. i would get a grill guard with lights but everyone has one of those. im sure i will end up buying the airdam. just wanted to know if anyone had any feed back on it.

I'm interested as well. How do companies expect to sell things if the buyer doesn't even know what it looks like?! :nono:

get a performance products catalog, they have a pic in there. if i had my scanner hooked up, id scan it for ya...sorry :p

actually, if i had the money, id get one, too, but, right now, lighting isnt a priority for me, maybe in the summer time. for $360, i can think of a bunch of other things id rather have.

Does it look similar to this:

no it looks better than that one. much more integrated with the rest of the truck. i don't know who designed that thing. it looks like it was made for a different vehicle. and if you look at the picture carefully it looks like the side away from us in the picture isn't even connected. the one you you are talking about looks really nice, but imo not as good as the explorer express one that i have. i don't remember how much mine cost me, but i think it's way better than that one, and it gives you more flexibility with what lights you use. i'll post a pic and hopefully someone can post a pic of the performance products one, and maybe someone can post the choo choo customs one (i think they make one too) and then you can make an informed decision.

I think that area just has glare...

This airdam is listed on the EExpress online catalogue...

the thing with the EE one is that it looks cool, but it only has holes for the fog lights, not another set of lights if you want, like the hellas (or someother brand) that you can put on the perf. prods. one. the one from perf. prods. looks pretty much exactly like the stock piece with just a spot for lights...i think; i dont have my catalog handy.

alphasylum, theres a reason my scanner isnt hooked up :p when i moved out of my apartment at school last summer, i packed everything all up, and when i unpacked everything, i couldnt find the power cord for the scanner, heh, sorry. im sure one day, eventually, the power cord will turn up, but probably not before someone else finds a pic of this thing somewhere else. ill try to find a pic...

if someone tells me how to post a pic i will scan a pic out of the catalog.

ah ha! i knew it, the guy i was talking about, his name on here is Frshpwdr2k; unfortunately, i found where he hosts his pics (fototime), but he must have deleted them.

98fordx24, if you scan it, you can email it to me and i can host it for this thread. my email's jmt204@psu.edu or you can scan it yourself, and host it somewhere, like your personal web page or on fototime or something and just post a link to it on this thread.

ill check my email a few more times tonite to see what you decide.

tbomb, your right on that one. unless you get a fog/driving combo light in the one like mine. and that can get more expensive. i believe piaa might also have one that fits some extra lights. we were looking for escape parts recently and i thought i saw one for explorers like that.

well, heres the pic; chris just emailed it to me....
