That looks pretty nice man.

Looks good! I was gonna go with that but I went with the x-spec dam instead. What kind of condition did it arive in? Was there a lot of prep work before paint?

some sanding with 1000 grit sandpaper then i had ford paint and install it for me (for bout $120). it came in exellent condition, although the mounting pads for the Hellas could be better. i'll be replacing them with PIAAs when i find a set that fits. I chose to contrast the bumper because i really wanted the truck to stand out.

Looks really unique, I like it because its not just the 99+ bumper swap like I did. A little more crafty.

I painted my airdam the same color as the truck also. I have chrome bumpers with the grey trim and running boards. I had all the grey trim and running boards painted the same color as the truck too. I should have some pics up soon... gotta get a digital camera first.

Jeez the pics didn't last 2 hours before yahoo restricted my bandwith. If anyone knows any free site i can host pics, let me know

well, while they were up they looked good. what kinda camera do you have?

those were taken with a 24MM (advantix) cannon elph. I got it last year so i could take pics at a Tool concert. this was right after sept 11 and security was unimaginable. cameras were phorbidden. luckilly my friend has big ***** and was able to hid them in her bra:rolleyes:

the scanner is allso cannon, a N656U. its pretty good and matches the color of my laptop.

ok well time for me to go elite and store my pics here :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I can't see the pics

Yeah go Elite, or in the meantime, email 'em to me and I'll throw 'em up on my server and repost them, I'd love to see them. My email is mfrems1@pride.hofstra.edu

THE PICS ARE BACK UP!

Oh yeah... i finally got an icon thingy too :D

oooooh, ahhhhh....! VERY nice! I know what's going on my christmas list :D

So the mounting pads for the hellas weren't very good? I saw a set of lights the same size on Ebay called 'Blazers' I think... what else would fit in those openings? Know of any that are the ion blue/yellow color?

the hellas are some oddity that i have never seen before. they have the lense/reflector, and a rubber gasket thingy in back. they are mounted both on the top, and the bottom. they have clear lenses.

The problem is that they aim too far down. i've tried reajusting, and bending the mounting pads, but nothing seems to work. They light up about 25 feet in front of me.

i'm going to fab a bracket to connect the upper and lower mounting plates on the valence, giving it some much needed rigitity. After that i plan on adding PIAA driving lights to the botom plate. (that way if it does have some play, it will aim higher not lower). the opening is about 5.5 inches big, so i'm not sure what will fit in there. I'll check my catolouges when i get back home and take exact mesurements

question...

where does that thing bolt to?

The is the one that I have... it bolts to the same places that the stock valance bolts to.
