Rear glass rattles sometimes on my '98. I assume this symptom is related to the fact that it is also very hard to open. It feels like the latch will not open when I push the release button. If I keep pushing repeatedly real hard on the button and pulling on the glass it will usually release. I've already tried lubing the latch but it didn't help. Is there a way to adjust it that I'm not seeing?

Nobody?

If you loosen the latch for the glass, there is adjustment in there. Also check your hinges to make sure they're tight.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I assume the plastic trim needs to come off the hatch to access it?

Pop the plastic cap, you can get to them from there... Two bolts from the top.

Cool, still haven't gotten around to it yet. Haven't noticed the rattle for a while but it's still hard to open. I'll probably forget about it again till next time I try to open it or I log on here again!
