Alright i just installed a Clarion VRX610 6.4" LCD AM/FM Head unit in my 96 explorer limited i got the CCA-389 cable for it and have installed my playstation 2 underneath the rear right seat its very cool too watch dvdz and stuff like that i also have 2 12" lightning audio subs that i would like to replace because they have only 200w max power any ideas??? im looking to spend under 100 for each sub. ill post pics sometime this week!!!:exp: :mattmoon: :fire: :yelexp: :redexp: :exp: :frustrate :exporange :roll: :thumbdwn:

Orion XTR 12" subs. they sound great and hit really hard. they are also really efficient.

Why dont you just wait and save up and then buy some bad a$$ subs...(like the new JL 12W7) ...but you could open up your choices so much if you would save for a while and just "suffer" with those Lightning Audio subs...i have 2 JL 12W6's in a ported box and the awesome...just my opinion....good luck

get some audiobahn subs! i have 2 12" audiobahn subs that sound great, have 700 watts rms 1400 peak, and only cost (if i remember right) 89 bucks a piece. go to a audiobahn show room and you will be impressed.

New subs

Dude, ditch the subs. Go Poineer IMPP DVC's. They are a good bang for your buck. The 12"s offer a 600w max with an intercooler system. Kicker also has high quality, decent cost subs. If you want a decent amp, go expensive. I'd go with RF, JL, PG, or Kicker. Preferably, go with an 800w amp with a fan. Run it 2 Ohm stereo in a sealed box. Don't go below 12" subs. With the air space an Explorer has, you have the potential to out-knock a whole hello of a lot of other systems.

Sorry all ya'll. Nothing But JL's. GaSouthern1 said it best with the w7's if you wanna spend $800 on 1 13 inch woofer. But that one will sound like 3 15's. I recently did 4 JL w3's in my explorer and have yet to finish the box for the other 4. Your best bet would be looking on ebay. You can get JL's for around $100 there. I personally have had nothing but JL's in all my vehicles. Ayhting from 1 10 inch to 12 10's in my honda. My opinion, JL makes the best woofers.

I dont have any pics of that stereo in my honda. All I have are the exterior pics. It has hydraulics, daytons, and a ragtop. I'm waiting for a sunny day here in jax, fl (hopefully tomorrow) to get pics of my X. I just lowered it 4 inches and want to get pics of that on here to. I'm going to start a new thread on what everybody thinks of it. I'll let you know when they get put on.
