Pioneer FH-P8800

Has anyone tried to install this head unit in their Explorer? It's the really cool looking silver double-DIN unit. I've heard that it won't fit without some modification. Just wanted to find out if this is true or not. Thanks

a couple people on this site have that headunit. lots of people have double dins in their explorers.
it's not hard to do.
do a search for double din install pics.

I have it. I had to buy the Dead Link Removed, and the install went fine. You can see pics of it on the link in my sig. Hope this helps, let me know if you have further questions.

Yep, that's what I wanted to see. The good folks a Crutchfield said that it woldn't fit. Of course they say that if something doesn't drop right in. Just wanted to see what had to be done. I've been looking at other double-dins, and they all look like crap except the FH-P8800. Once again, thanks. Now I can order it.
