Plastic running boards

So I ripped off my passenger side running board offroad last night (again). I'm debating pulling the driver's side off too just so I don't have to worry about them anymore. But I don't like the unsightly holes left by the clips that hold them on. Has anyone else removed these and what did you do for the holes?

yeah filled em in with lil strip of bondo..and then went over it all from that door trim down with herculiner

hmmm. Yeah I was tossin around the idea of Line-X from the windows down so I might go that route...thanks for the tip.

Anyone else do anything?
