If a Cobra R rim is 17X9 with a backspacing of 5.95 inches then a 17X8 wheel with a backspacing of 4.95 inches would give a similar stance, correct? I figure if you have a wheel that is narrower by 1 inch deducting an inch off the backspace should out the outer edge of the wheel in the same plane with the trucks body.
Also if Rs have an offset of 24 mm, how is the backspace 5.95 inches. I figure 0 offset on these rim would be a backspace of 4.5 inches, add 24mm which is less than an inch and you get a backspace of less than 5.5 inches, right?
Thanks for the checkup, Jason
