Ok I've looked everywhere trying to figure out what part this is that I need to replace. I failed my state inspection due to this being broken. When I turn the car on, I can see (what i assume) fuel vapor coming out. The hose itself is fine and I need to replace the plastic connector piece. This is located on the driver side just below the battery. I thought about just using JB Weld but I would rather just replace it. If you could help I was be in your debt. I have a 1996 Explorer 2WD 4.0L

That is the vapor mgmt valve vacuum line fitting...

And the broken part is the "T" that allows the test port to be used in the system. There are 2 lines attached to the vacuum fitting and the bigger one is broken from the fitting.. Ford doesn't sell just that vacuum fitting; Junkyard or replacement valve with the included fitting is your best bet...

When I broke mine, I removed the test port and ran just the vacuum line to the valve...It comes from the bottom of the throttle body to the vapor valve and except for the functionality of the test port my emissions system is not compromised at all...Then after thinking I needed the test port, even though I had no way to "smoke test" the system, I cut the new vacuum line from the tbody to the valve, inserted a 3 way vacuum tee, and installed the test port line back in the truck...

With the line open[broken] I had a fuel odor from the truck...After removing the broken fitting and reconnecting the vacuum line the fuel odor went away...

Thank you for ya'lls input. I talked to a neighbor and he mentioned that the connectors are actually heated down to the connector and that the only way to replace this is to get the whole hose/connector kit. Went to every auto part store I could think of and no one could even think about what it even is (even though i brought the part into the store). Gonna go to a pick and pull tomorrow and grab one off another explorer.
