1998 ford explorer
Hey guys my name is Bryon, In new to the forum and im hoping to get some assistance as soon as possible,

I got an amazing deal on a fully loaded 1998 ford explorer.
I got it because i need something safe to transport my 5 month old son and my girlfriend, we don't have alot of money so im hoping to get to the problem at its source,

It apparently sat for a long period of time but was driven occasionally and taken very good care of the truck, but it had to be jumped to start it, and after driving it home i parked it for a few hours then went back outside to start it up and the alarm went off for a few seconds, then the truck started dazzling out. All sorts of clicks and electrical sounds and the theft light was flashing rapidly and inconsistently, so in thinking its wiring, or battery, but it was fine while it was running earlier, but wouldn't start tonight.

The battery is probably shot. Best first thing you can do, is go and buy a GOOD battery. Do not start worrying about wiring. The strange reactions you saw & heard are very likely due to a dying battery. imp

Thanks so much for the prompt reply,

Im trying to find myself an interstate battery, I was told they are one of the best battery manufacturers for trucks / suvs
