Everyone here has me convinced that 31 x 10.50 are the biggest tires I can get for stock rims. Soooo, I was wondering what anyone would recomend for me, I do a lot of street driving and a little off-road. I would appreciate a quiet highway ride. A friend of mine said he could sell me some Goodyear wranglers, 31 x 10.50, for about $70 a tire. What's the word??? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Taeo,
31X10.5 are the biggest tires for a stock suspension not the rims. I had a pair of Goodyears on my 95 and they were pretty decient. They just weren't as good for off road as the BFG's are IMHO. My BFG T/A's aren't too bad on the Highway, but there are other tires that are more quite then the BFG's. I drive 160 miles to and from work a day, and many times don't have the music on, and I don't get any headaches. The Goodyears, If I remember are quieter then the BFG's. I have heard that the New BFG KO's are louder than the old T/A's. Perielli's are supposed to be good also.
Hope this helps Dead Link Removed

The Pirelli Scorpion AT and the Yokohama Geolandar AT are extremely quiet on the HWY and great in the rain, decent off-road performers also.

I have the BFG AT KO and they are noisier on the freeway than the old BFG AT, Scorpion AT, and the Geolandar AT.

I would go with the BFG's A/T KO. I have these on both my trucks and have never had any problems with them. The ones on my ranger have been on it for about four years now and they are still going. Good Tires they are.

Does anyone have experience with the new Goodyear MT/R? What about the SSRs?

Where I live, everyone has Bridgestone Dueler A/T's on their trucks. I have them on my explorer. They are good off road (better than stock tires) And they are quite, they are loudest around 30-35 mph. What does everyone else think about these tires?

My mom's '94E150 van ate through the Origional Goodyear H/Ts it had, and now she has Bridgestone Dueler H/Ts. These tires have a strong sidewall and high load capacity, but I think when she gets new tires i'll recommend that the gets the tires that I have. I have BFG Long Trail T/A's. The tires were not very high priced and are very quiet and give a nice ride, btu they are great in deep snow and rain/ice. I would definatly buy another pair of BFGs, but i have heard of people geting 70-80,000 miles oput of them, so I don't know if i ever will need to buy tires :-)! Hope this helps!
