its a long story that centered around a dealership that fixed nothing for $800 of which I got $225 back after BBB complaint and put me way behind the ball

The latest problem is my alternator came on under heavy acceleration and with a little power conservation it stayed at a low level until I came to my exit and it shot up and my light went off... after I turned it off and turned it back on it was low again.... pretty easy to assume that it is my alternator... any input.... well let me list the rest of issues just so you can a little amusement.... actually over the next month or so I will actually be able to take care of most if not all of these issues

Leaking front diff- it appears to be seal at the front plate bottom (I hope)- easy enough fix if it is not the shaft seal.... popped in a little brake fluid to swell the seals and it seemed to help a little

Exhaust leak- between the muffler and cat convert that little rubber piece has a nice loud hole- it is a $7 part just need to get to it- should be enough play in the exhaust system to slide right in

Engine miss- this goes back to the long story.... my intake manifold gasket was replaced (wasnt the problem).... I believe it caused the exhaust hole from vibration.... replaced wires, spark plugs, air regulator components (that did fix a high idle which was the initial problem before all the rest of them) bu otherwise no luck

ABS Light- I think it is from the aftermarket rotor or the grease from torn right front cover (old school 100mph tape maintaining it fine until time to fix will have to remove bearings)

Rear liftgate lock- zero luck trying to fix this bad boy it appears to be binding within the lock- I will have to totally replace- power lock fine- key wont turn- it will pop the window

It would appear it is time to replace the truck but I owe nothing on it and it is 4wd... with existing problems it is better to fix than sell if I do some of the work

Welcome to this forum! Auto parts stores like AutoZone have an alternator tester which would save you some guesswork trying to figure out if the problem is related to your alternator, or possibly something else in the charging system.
