So yesterday I was removing my number one spark plug in order to spin the engine and listen to the air coming out for setting my cam synchronizer on my 5.0. Well I'm sure this has happened to a lot of folks When I pulled the wire off the metal connector clip stayed on the plug. I tried taking an old wire I had laying around and slicing the boot to try and crimp a new connector clip on the wire. Mind you , I have aftermarkt Blue Taylor 8mm wires now. I haven't driven the truck since trying to fab the wire up but I did start it and it kinda sounds like there is a hiccup in the exhaust pulse.
For now I'm gonna go to the pull yard to find a replacement wire for the time being. I was wondering if there are any coil style replacement wires or repair kits so I don't have to order a complete new set? I've seen E-Bay has some in blue which is my color but they're all for distributor style ignitions, none for coil packs. Thanks!
