Where can i get poly bushings for a 97 5.0? I would like the rear leaf and the front A-arms. Has anyone installed these? how hard of a project and does anyone have pics? Thanks, Richard

I have installed Energy suspension poly bushings in my rear leaf springs (Should be the same for all leaf springs). IMO it is a real PITA to get the old bushing & shell out. The rubber bushing material is bonded to a metal shell @ the factory and pressed into the leaf spring eye (and similarly the frame rail for the rear shackle). I used a combination of torch, drilling, impact hammer, and ball joint press to get the old bushings out. Once every thing is out and cleaned up the install is a piece of cake. Of all the bushings I have replaced these were the hardest to do..

I wasn't advocating getting ES bushings (sorry if it appeared that way). I was only giving an opinion on changing out the bushings...

Daystar makes the bushings Daystar Poly Bushings

I put Energy Suspension red poly leaf spring bushings in the 4 door spring pack that I put under my Sport. Definately a PITA to get the old ones out but it can be done given a BFH and enough determination ;)

Mine were for springs from a 1st gen though, but the spring packs are the same from 91-02 (04 with the Sports)

why does daystar only make them for 95-98?
what is the big diff from 98 to 99?

is there a bushing kit anywhere for my '99?
maybe i can use most of the 95-98 kit?

help is appreciated.
