popping when turning.

alright, so when i turn my ford exploder into a parking spot or make any sort of sharp turn, i get a horrible popping noise in my front end. it also feels like it wants to give out. anyone else have this problem? anyone know what it is?

we need more information. is your vehicle 4WD or AWD? so far, your problem sounds like front axle CV joints.

Definitely sounds like the CV Axle binding up. Does it happen when you turn only one direction, or both?

it as all wheel drive. is it ok to be driving it?

You have a V8 AWD? Popping when turning both directions? Is it binding along with the popping noises? Are all your tires the same size?

Try pulling off the front drive shaft temporarily and see if it goes away. DO NOT LEAVE IT OFF. Also, have blocks or use the parking brake when parking the vehicle or it will roll away in park.

Did you ever find out what the noise was from , I have a 05 exploder sport trac making the same noise at the same speeds as yours
