Well I came across this searching for something else. I was thinking (can you smell the smoke) about installing this on my 98 Sport with a custom 2 – 21/2 inch arc to the spring. Has anyone heard of this company of about these type of leaf springs? Is it worth the 500 bucks it will cost?

The big question would be how they hold up to shock loads. Not shock absorbers but actual hits from say, rocks and such. They may be strong in there natural arc of motion but what if they break when you hit against a sharp object such as a rock or hard dirt ledge? Every material has advantages and disadvantages over another. You have to weigh those and see which suit your needs. I would ask the manufacturer how it would stand up to hard off road use. Their warranty is for materials and workmanship. It does not cover abuse. These springs may work great but it would sure suck to break one and find out that they will not cover it with the warranty. Not to mention the fact that you will be somewhere with a broken spring. Unless you plan to only ever use it on the street then I'd say go for it.

One other point about strength. It is all relative to the way it is being used. Kevlar is extremely strong you can cut it with a knife as if it were thread.
