If all goes well, this maybe sitting in the driveway by the end of April:

'89 Saab 900S. Has over 200k on the ticker. Starts up and runs like a champ. Driving, well thats an unknown at this point. Seems to be in rather decent shape. Guy wants $800 for it, that will go way down for me to purchase it. I'm thinking along the lines of $500.

Been over to the Saab boards for a few days. They seem to think its a good deal if its been maintained. We'll see what happens!

With a tune-up it will average 30mpg. Thats double what I get with the 5.0. With a long commute and high gas prices, this would be a welcomed addition. I'm looking to get the summer out of it, and maybe do a little resto work on it this winter.

yeah I guess, but aren't Saab parts expensive? Wouldn't it be better to get cheap Honda stuff?
