Possibly adding 91 sport need help tho!

Hey,

I just found this on craigslist for 500. The issue with it is that the compression blows out the radiator cap.

Is this worth the money or is it a ditcher?

imho ....ditch it . i bought mine for 550 and granted it was not running but the transmission was needing rebuilt but i drove it like that for 2-3k after getting it running .mine has some smallish dings and dents / paint in certain areas that are not to nice to look at but overall i think it's in ok shape ...that one.....nice big dents all over and it's a 91 as well and the head gaskets are shot ...thats money right there plus it being a 91 it's got the outdated head design so it's most likelly in need of new heads to seeing that the old style was prone to cracks .

this is what you can expect to pay for a simallar model.....you could buy it and then part it out but your return on it will be delayed

If you're good at troubleshooting, replacing parts, and have enough cash for parts, I mean what the heck why not. The price is just a little less than what you'd expect for an explorer without the overpressure problem, and unless you have reason to believe there are other issues with the truck, I'd offer my $.02 and say it's worth a shot.
