Hello all ... I just put 32" swampers on my 94 'ploder ... while I was und er the truck I pumped every grease fitting I could find ... and I then when I was putting my new rims and tires on I greased my POS auto hubs. Later on that night I got stuck due to my driver side hub not engaging (making a pretty terrible grinding / popping noise ....well after the Chevy pulled me out :/ .... I pulled the hub only to find nothing out of the ordinary... I was expecting to c some metal shavings.
I'm wondering could I have over greased the hub causing it to only partially engage? And pop in and out? ..... I would also like to know what I should expect to pay for a replacement hub from a junk yard .. or even two used manual hubs from a junkyard( what prices are reasonable?)
