I recently had issues with my 04 Explorer rear differential. I had very hard shifts into reverse and first and when turning the wheel sharp I had violent shudders and shakes. I came to the conclusion that my rear end had gone bad. Found a used one and swapped them. The problems went away and car was driving better then before however when I am going at a high speed(50mph or so) and let off the gas for a bit, when giving gas again I start to fishtail. I'll come to a stop and try to drive again but I hear crazy squealing and my tires are moving me all over the place. I turn the car off and then back on then problem goes away until I once again let off the gas at a high speed. What could have caused this? Did I miss some procedure during the rear end swap?
First forum post ever, thanks.

Did you get an alignment? If not get one, the other thing is if you have a LSD there might be a issue with that, if no LSD that leaves just alignment.

Sounds like possibly bad rear toe links but they'll check all that when doing a alignment.

Must be the LSD. What could be going on with it?
