My Explorer locks the doors when you start driving or maybe when you shift into drive haven't really paid that close attention. It does not however unlock them when you shift back to park. Is there a setting I can change to make this happen? Also is it possible to have all the doors unlock with the first push of the button on the key fob? Both of these features were possible on my Magnum and it just seems to me like over time it may save some wear and tear. Thanks for any info.

I would love to know if there was an answer to this.....It seems so backwards to not unlock after you put it in Park.

I dont think any ford - or at least the ones Ive driven - will unlock when put in park or when turned off.

Neither my 96 or 04 does it. both lock sometimes when put in drive other times after I drive a few feet or so... cant figure it out really...

You can get out of the front doors without unlocking, but I know its a little extra effort to unlock the rear for rear passengers as its difficult to see/use the unlock button in the rear doors.

If this is really important to you, I think you could wire a pulse relay such that when the relay senses the truck turn off, a pulse is sent to the unlock lead wire.
