I have been having a problem with my 91 ex for the past couple months. The rpms every once in a while will start to fluctuate and get up to about 1100, and go up and down for a little while, then go back to normal, and everything runs fine. But like I said it is every once in a while. Also, the overall power seems to "dim" every once in a while while idling also. This doesnt even have to do with the rpms necessarily, since it does this more often, all the lights inside, and headlights will dim slightly and do this when I am idling. Many times after I drive, then I put it in park at a stop they will raise to 1100, or sometimes lower to 400-500. It is weird, last week I was running in to get something, and my friend in the car said that by itself the car was revving up a little and the lights were dimming like it was posessed or something.
Also, a seperate problem I have been searching and think I have figured out. The window only goes up and down intermittantly. Goes up sometimes in spurts but I have to help it along. but motor does run and its not switched so I think its the bushings which I am going to replace, sound right??? The only this I need to know is what kind of grease to use in the gears. Please point me to the right grease, I think it is clear but not wd-40. thanks guys, If I could get the power and rpms figured out that would help at least point me in the right direction...I hope its not an alternator
