power moonroof malfunction

I just purchased a 97 xlt with 4.0 sohc and power moonroof. When I close the moonroof fully, the rear of the glass raises up about three inches. At first I thought it was a neat idea, being able to slide and tilt. Then I read the owners manual and it doesn't mention a tilt feature. Anyone familiar with this problem? Are there rollers or clips missing? Otherwise I love the vehicle so far.

No that is normal. You just kinda have to get it in the middle position if you don't want it to leak air in.

ok first: open it all the way until it looks clsed and then let go. there shouldnt be any open part. then hit forward again and it should do the little 3" tilt thing and the hit back until it closes fully. that should be it. your just holdin down the forward button too long.
