I have a problem when I have the AC/heater blower on high and stop at a red light, all my lights start dimming and the volt gage start dropping, the truck has a new battery and alternator any other ideas of what this problme could be???

hmmm, I think on older models the voltage regulator is seperate from the alternator. That may be your problem.

I will look in to that, thanks

The voltage regulator is attached to the back of the alternator, and is normally replaced as part of the alternator (there should have been a new one on your new alternator). I'd have the system tested for voltage output at idle with a full load (everything on). If its below 13 volts take the alternator back ang get it warrantied. You might also want to take a look at the wire connector on the alternator (the one with 2 black/orange and one white wires going in it. These connectors have a history of melting and causing high resistance in the electrical system. If it looks bad you can get a replacement at any auto parts store.
