My driver seat motor is toast. Having a hard time finding the part number or any info on other fords that has the same motor.

I have a 03 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4x4

I'd take a trip to the salvage yard (or search eBay) for a used seat motor. If the driver's seat and passenger seat use the same motor try to find one from a passenger seat as that motor most likely would have less wear on it. I would think a motor from a Sport would be the same as what Ford used in Sport Trac. Perhaps the same motor was used in multiple Fords of that era. Even if you could find a new one I'm betting it would be big bucks where salvage would cost next to nothing.

Ditto, find a used passenger power seat, to get the motor. I don't know if Ford changed the seat tracks for the 2001+ Sport Tracs, but if not, anything back to about 1998 will work. The seat track changed to an aluminum frame design around 1997/98, and the motors swap left to right from those. I've done that, to convert a right seat to the memory motor version. It's not easy to R&R the motors, but they do come out.

I have an extra one. Just PM you

I swapped '97 or '98 Explorer power seats into both of my Sport Tracs. It's a direct bolt-in swap. If one of the seats has the power lumbar, there will be an extra wire. As I recall, the wire runs to the connect either way, but the connectors are different.

I should clarify a bit. My '01 had power seats. The 1st seat I swapped in was a leather power seat from a '97 or '98 Ex with power lumbar. The lumbar bag leaks, and it felt like there was a steel bar under my tailbone, so I took it out and replaced it with a cloth seat with manual lumbar. I spliced in the connector from the Ex I got the leather seat from, but switched back to the original connector for the cloth seat. And the Explorer seats do not match the Sport Trac seats, but I have seat covers over them. But if you're just swapping bases for the motor, they bolt right in, and should bolt to your seat without modification.

Do you have access to power seat motor assembly for a 98 explorer?

I have just enough parts to build my projects, in the end I might have a spare motor set.

I like my 93 Limited seat better in my 99, I have a spare 99 Limited front seat because of that. Now's a good time to buy spare seat parts at a JY, the parts are common and not expensive. Buy a right power seat that looks like it hasn't been abused, and the motors should be pretty good, to use in any similar seat(left or right).
