Power Trax auto locker in the IRS axle

Long story short, I have a dead Ranger with an 8.8 with the Power Trax locker. From reading the forum, the IRS is also an "8.8" right? So is my luck good enough that I can put the power Trax in the Explorer?

If the Ranger is a 31 spline 8.8, then yes, the powertrax should work in the Explorer. You may need to bore out the side spacers on the locker so the ends of the explorer axles can pass through them and allow the circlips to lock the axles into place.
