I went to install my Powertrax No-Slip Locker in the front Differenial. Well , I guess I didn't realize I had to remove the entire Axel to get to the diff. cover!! We idn't have enough time , or the two jaw pullers need to do this. So we gave up. So now I guess I better schedual a whole weekend do do this.

Unless does some know an easier way to get to the cover?? I don't see it!

nope the cover is on the back and you have to drop the axle to take it off....... well, good luck... hopefully you will get it installed without too many more setbacks

Thanks guys, those pics are gunna help out great!! Anyone gotta time frame on this?? I guess I'll plan on a weekend. We'll have too see, I may wait till it warms in the spring, unless I can find a heated garauge.

Takes me about an hour - hour and a half to get the front end apart now following my instructions that Gerald linked to. But I'd set apart 3 hrs or more for a first time. . .and 1-2 hrs to get the diff apart and back together. . . and another couple hours to put it all back together.

Only tools I can think of besides the basics are:
1 1/2" socket - for the axle nut
T-30 socket - to get the front u-joint apart
3/8" pin punch - to pop pin out of pinion shaft (or a grinder and old screwdriver to make your own)
Torque wrench and specs to put everything back together.
