No Ex at the mo
The other morning i got a call from a colleague saying can i go and see if i could help. His better half had managed to pop her car into a ditch scenario and they had tried to pull it out with a ranger (with 8 people in the back) but got not enough traction.

Off i trot to him and get out my tow rope and immediately snap it
So out comes the tow pole and yank that baby out :D

Sometimes you can't beat displacement and low range

The angle was a bit worse than it looks in the photo

recently i have pulled over and towed 5 stranded motorists just because i can!

What have you been upto with your ex's ??

Just a question.. What is a "tow pole"? I know what tow strap, and tow rope is, but never heard it called a pole.

If you look in the photo you can see behind the car a red and yellow metal bar. This is a tow pole. Basically a solid or 2/3 part bar with u bolts or hooks at the end. Theory is you can tow a car without all the yoyo action from the rope going slack.

That makes a lot more sense than a rope actually.

Thats a neat bit of kit. If it snows heavy I might get one and charge for getting people out of the crap. :)

my record is ford transit - long wheel base stuck on a icy car park, pulled one without problem, 4x4 on low is the best for this!!!!

pulled a mercedes vario out of muddy field last weekend with my explorer, low range and a long chain helped
