I have a 2002 Explorer that recently, on a cold morning, my driver's window motor was working but making a crunching sound and the window would not go down (or up).
I took the door panel, electrical connections and that sheet of whatever it is inside the door off and discovered that the cables that move the window were no longer connected and the plastic housing that connects the cable to the tracks had snapped in pieces.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did you do to fix it? I fear that If I take it to the dealer I'm gonna pay a lot of money.
