Power Window problem - Sport Trac

Well Got the door off this morning. Non of the wires appear frayed in any manor, but its always possible one of them is broke inside. the sock connector has some yellow jello-like stuff inside, on some of the prongs. I assume that is contact solution of some sort, and should be there? Not run into globules of the stuff before. Any ideas from here?

If not can anybody find a connection map for the door sock? Maybe I can a wire that should have power, and doesn't. That should help narrow down this problem at least.

Ok so, the window safety toggle has no power. I tested at the relay outlet and found that the relay only has power for the solenoid. so:
(No Power)30_________87a (dead end, no power)
\_____87 (no power)
_@_
(No Power)85__/ \__86 (Powered)

I guess this means the problem is actually before the Window Safety relay-_- .....but that shouldn't keep the Driver window from working right? Can someone test and see if the Driver window still functions with the switch on.

I feel stupid now (about time) Am I misinterpreting this, or is the problem in/before the fuse box? Or unrelated?

Also seems odd that the solenoid seems to default to (on) and toggling the window safety switch (master window controller) does not change this.

I am officially baffled.

The driver's window always works. Don't just look for power. A bad ground will net the same result as no power.

Yep so I am tracing the all black wire, and the light blue w/ black stripe wire tomorrow morning. But that still doesn't explain the driver window not working. I would be pissed if the ground is busted too though, as the window lock doesn't have power in.

I don't know if the window-lock switch even has power running through it. I think you need to spend some quality time with a wiring diagram. That's how I figured out my power window issues before spending a dime. If you don't have a volt/ohm meter (VOM) it's a valuable tool when working with electricity. For instance to test a ground (or a broken wire) you don't need to trace wires, you just need to use a VOM to test for continuity.

1. CTRL + makes things on your screen larger (CTRL - for smaller)
2. Download the PTF of the power window diagram to make it easier to read/print. The PTF, once downloaded, has buttons to change the size of the display too.

You're not trying to read these on a smart-phone are you?

I've never experience that happening (nor has anyone else reported this). What type of device are you using to view the diagrams? What version of OS? Perhaps you'll have better luck with the other suggested link.

Ok now I have a problem. My alternator died on my 2008 sport trac and so after having it replaced my rear window will not roll down. Everything worked before it happened never had a problem with it, I checked and replaced the dash fuse it wasn’t blown. I’m in California and it has been very hot lately any help is appreciated. When I bought by '01 ST last year the only door window that worked was the driver's door. I tested the motors in the other 3 doors and found they all worked. I trouble shot the driver's master switch and found it to be the issue. I bought a new master switch off eBay for around $26, installed it and all the windows have been working perfectly ever since.

I just purchased a used 2002 Sport Trac and have the same issue as koda2000. The drivers door will raise/lower all 4 windows but the rear doors and passenger side front door will not work their respective windows. I purchased a new Master switch for the drivers door thinking it was a bad window lock switch that was not functioning in the unlock position. The part came in today and after replacing I still have the same problem. Any thoughts on what to check next? Does anyone know if thee is or should be power to the window lock switch? Thanks in advance.
