Power windows help?

I'm sure there are 1000 posts about power windows going out, and feel free to just reply with that thread if you know how to quickly find it. For reference, I have a 2001 Explorer XLT and live in the Atlanta area.

None of my power windows will roll down. Thankfully the issue must have cropped up over the winter and they're not stuck in a down position. My first thought is the fuse, but I couldn't find a good fuse box diagram. Additionally, my wiper fluid (though topped off) will not spray on to my windshield, and in a Georgia summer I'm running into bugs left and right, so I can't clean the windshield while driving.

I'm wondering A. If the two issues are related (as in are they on the same fuse or do they share wiring?) and B. Should I expect a more complex repair other than a couple of fuses?

Not sure if it matters any, but a pin from my shifter cable came loose and was replaced recently. The issues with the windows and wiper fluid had been going on prior to the pin falling out, but I wasn't sure if there was something related to the steering column. If someone could post a quality diagram of the fuse box and or any links to threads that ended in success it would be a great help. Thanks ahead of time!

If the fuse is good, open the driver's side door and check the wire harness that runs between the driver's side door and body of the truck for a broken or frayed wire that might need to be repaired.

In my case my windows only work in a certain cycle, this is because the gem module is malfunctioning. You may have the same problem, gem modules cost $30-$200 depending on the seller. (I'm not sure if the windshield washer fluid is connected with the gem, but my guess is that it is.) I recommend you check the fuse first, it's a much cheaper fix if that's the problem.

Thanks for the help. After work today I'm going to check the fuses again to see if I missed something and go to a Pull-A-Part to see if I can find a GEM just in case. I feel like finding one at a junk yard isn't that big of an expense.

Fuses are in the owners manual. Yours is here:

It looks about the same as the one for my '98 so...
Fuse 12 on the interior panel does handle both windows and the washer pump, but why it blew (if it did) could be a wiring short or a motor gone bad.

I had the same problem on a yr 98 xlt - no power on all 4 power windows switches.
Reason was a broken powerline in the cable-bundle from the body driverside to the driver door,colour lightblue/black.
