I have a problem with my power windows on my 92 XLT. The motors all work (I can hear them), but I have to help the windows up and down. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

email me info, thanks aw

Could be weak motors, not enough power getting to them, or bad window regulators (?)

The regulator has plastic gears inside that are known to strip out.
On mine, the cable snapped in one of the windows, which is another possible failure mode.

the slides are probably just dirty or dry and the windows are getting stuck. you should try greasing them before you try anything else its the easist solution. to do it first take off the door panel(dont be afraid to pull hard), then rip off the white platsic crap that seals the metal. take some all purpose grease and just rub it with your finger up and down the slide. i did this to all of my windows and now they slide up smooth and silent. before the back ones were jumpy and had an earpiercing screech.
