will a pre bent brake line from a 98 explorer fit

Ha! 1st post in 9 years. :)

I don't know (suspect yes) but if you mean used, I wouldn't bother as presumably yours rusted out so a used one from the same region would probably have too much rust too.

If you mean the rear, left wheel to right across the axle, that is by FAR the easiest brake line to do. Go to Autozone or elsewhere that carries AGS Poly Armour Brake Line part # PAX-351 3/16" x 51". $7

It is pre-flared, comes with the correct nuts already on it, and can easily be bent by hand if you don't care about it looking perfect/OEM. It is a little shorter than the stock line so you can't make all the bends the OEM line had as deep, but the next longer AGS pre-flared line is too long, (60"?, about half a foot longer than stock) it'll work too but you'll have to bend or loop away the excess (or cut one end off at the right length and flare it yourself).

If by rear you meant the one going from the engine bay to the left rear wheel, there's no way you are going to get a pre-bent line in an already assembled vehicle. Even taking off the tank rock guard (present if it has 4WD?) and whatever that other plate next to it is (that I took off when I did mine, to get the line in the frame next to the tank) there's little if any hope of getting a pre-bent line in without unbending it first, and the odds seem low of being able to unbend and re-bend a used one without damage if it has more than a little bit of surface rust on it, and the stock lines are harder to bend than the AGS Poly Armour.
