I have a 97 Eddie Bauer Explorer, trying to install a new radio(the old one didn't work). I can see the original wiring harnesses and one does not match anything I have found in the aftermarket kits. Also there is no antenna line going to the old radio. I have followed the antenna line from the fender to the right kick panel and it is headed for the back seat. Not really looking to pull the whole truck apart so looking for Ideas of where the antenna wire connects to the system.

As far as the antenna goes, you got me there...I've never seen the antenna run to the rear.

I put in a Kenwood double din unit using the Metra kit. Works great with a wire for wire instruction manual.

Same feedback as Jimmy on the antenna. My antenna hookup goes to the right front quarter panel.

Antenna cable should be routed behind the glove box, you might pull it out to get a better view.
