Original owner of a '97 Explorer 4x4 with ~95k miles. Did Reflex shocks a few years ago. Chasing down a weird driveline noise I replaced rotors, pads, front bearing assemblies and tires. Diving in to do the front suspension soon since it needs it anyway...
The following Moog parts are on hand:
- one-piece upper control arms
- eccentric camber bolts
- lower ball joints
- outer tie-rod ends
Also picked up the OTC ball joint kit and OTC Ford adapters.
Seems to me I'll be 90% of the way to the front differential. Should I go ahead and pull the CVs, front driveshaft and drop the diff? It'll be my first time with those components. Is it as easy as it looks? What are the chances that my driveline issue lurks somewhere in there and what are some good checks to do??
