Just picked up my Explorer a few weeks back (April 2nd). Been tearing into it since then!

Putting a stereo and sub in it now and doing basics like a new battery, air filter, etc. Next things on the list are a low profile skid plate under the stock bumper, and some sliders. I'd also like to do a front locker down the road.

Very nice. I like that white and black look, especially with the clear turns. It looks great without color :)

I love that you painted that lift. I have done the best i can to hide my mods. with the exception of my bumpers and winch most people assume it is stock. I like them to think that.

If you are thinking locker I would look into the Aussie. I run them front and rear and I love them. Some may give you a hard time about the "lunchboxes" but they just dont break.

May be my phone but I cant see the pictures

I can't see the pics either. Would love to see them though.

you can upload to this site by buying elite membership, iotherwise i woudl suggest using imgur to host your photos, imageshack only has a trial period to post pics for free and i dont know anything about photobucket but it seems a lot of peopel have issues with it.

I've never had an issue with photobucket, I still don't, it's just that I've exceeded what they allow for monthly bandwidth. First time it's happened in probably 10 years of using the site!

Here's a before and after of my 2 week build. Did all this stuff before I even put gas in it!

looks good! though i think you should ditch the plastic rocker panel trim, it makes these trucks look pot-bellied and collects dirt and grime causing your rocker panels to rust out like 2x as fast.

Vehicles dont rust in Southern California! It's 20 years old and has none.

Got my tablet mounted up for all the cool things tablets do. I use Orux Maps for navigation.

Bought the tails from a member here some years back , they are hard to find .

figures those are like what I want. I hate the euro look that others have.

Don't be fooled, vehicle in southern Cali do rust. I've seen many in my years. Just not as bad as mid-west or east.

just as a precaution, (i know its not a huge worry since you do live in cali, but it cant hurt) i would drill some holes in the rockers (bottom or on top of door sill) and spray old engine oil in them. old trick we sometimes use up in teh rust belt to keep rockers from rotting out form the inside. you can get plastic plugs to seal the holes back up after.

Good times in my local desert. Having a 4x4 is so nice. I got into a little 5-6 foot wide dry creek that was just full of soft sand, plowed right through at street psi.

Blew a brake line & the check engine light is on. I haven't pulled the code yet, but the truck is struggling to get over 65 mph.

Nice clean Gen 1.

Good that it's in the hands of an EF member. Should be around for a while.

People are buy'n up Gen 1's here and running them dead in a few months of unmaintained, construction site, wheel-barrow duty!
